Here are my projected picks for the first ten teams: 1. Carolina Panthers -- Cam Newton, QB, Auburn
Will Cam Newton be the first player selected in this years draft? Yes. Should he be? Not necessarily. The Buffalo Bills at number three seem like a better fit. Newton is not all there mechanically, so learning from a veteran like Ryan Fitzpatrick for a season seems like a better option than taking over a leader-less offense in Carolina.
2. Denver Broncos -- Von Millier, LB, Texas A&M
3. Buffalo Bills -- Marcell Dareus, DT Alabama
Newton will be gone, so the next best option for the Bills is to take Marcell Dareus, the player that many people believe is the most NFL-ready in this years draft class. Dareus could be the big, physical presence the Bills need to shore up their 32nd ranked run defense.
4. Cincinnati Bengals -- A.J. Green, WR, Georgia
It's been said that if Palmer's out, Ocho Cinco could be out too. If that's the case, the Bengals will be happy they took the talented receiver out of Georgia.
5. Arizona Cardinals -- Patrick Peterson, CB, LSU
6. Cleveland Browns -- Julio Jones, WR, Alabama
The Brownies are looking for a top-notch receiver to complement Mohamed Massaquoi and fill the void left by Braylon Edwards.
7. San Francisco 49ers -- Robert Quinn, DE, Arizona
8. Tennessee Titans -- Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri
Gabbert was less of a star than Vince Young in college, but I have a sneaking suspicion he will have a more successful career as a Titan.
9. Dallas Cowboys -- Tyron Smith, OT, USC
10. Washington Redskins -- Jake Locker, QB, Washington
The 'Skins would be thrilled if Julio Jones was still available, but he'll be long gone and the Redskins will spend their first pick on Donovan McNabb's replacement.
